Last Exit

Posted : 1 month, 2 weeks ago on 23 November 2008 09:49 (A review of Last Exile)

One of my favorite anime of all time. Almost perfect save for one glaring mistake. The ending. Everything up to that point is awesome. The characters the vehicles, just about everything are based on Range Murata designs are clean. I for one am a big fan of his so maybe that's just me. I'd give this one a nine. If it weren't for that one thing. Dead characters should stay dead. Speaking of dead characters, this one has probab;y one of the most satisfying villian death scenes. The bitch gets her neck snapped, and it makes this sweet little crack. Then she just crumples to floor like a rag doll before her ship gets blown away by a huge cannon.

back when Saturday's were more than for

Posted : 9 months ago on 13 April 2008 02:59 (A review of Project G.e.e.K.e.R.)

How many people rememebr that CBS had cartoons worth watching on Saturday mornings? I do. This one was one of them. It was also one of the few that actually got a proper ending unlike many others that got railroaded into cacellation by college football or overbearing censors. Maybe a combination of both those things. Regardless of all the reschedulings it had I actually watched all of Project G.K.R. to the end. How the hell could you not wach a cartoon with a cyber-punk girl and a smart-ass, talking T-Rex all the way to the end? Granted the main villians goons were more fiiled out than their boss, but he was still somewhat entertaining. Geeker was also pretty one-sided, so I guess it balances out. I give it a seven for kick-ass sidekicks who stole the show.

half good and half bad

Posted : 9 months, 2 weeks ago on 26 March 2008 05:34 (A review of Naruto)

I watched the first 90 or so episodes of this show subbed, and it was good. I'd even go as far as giving it a seven out of ten. Unfortunately,, almost immediately after the fight with the three senin, it all goes downhill from there with a few exceptions for the next 90 or so episodes. Blame the animators for catching up to the manga at the time, but what they did was unforgivable. the least they could have done was make good filler. You know what go watch One Piece instead.

cool show, awkward dub

Posted : 10 months ago on 14 March 2008 01:09 (A review of Blood+)

When I first saw Blood+ I thought "Awesome." After watching the dub I thought "Whaaat? Why does Lewis sound like a rastafarian?" Hearing that dub makes me want to change the channel. I'd stick to DVD for the subs.
